Domestic Violence Involving a 21-Year-Old

In the early hours of June 3, 2023, a 17-year-old girl contacted the police to report an alleged assault by her 21-year-old Austrian boyfriend. The incident is said to have occurred on the evening of June 2, 2023. Additionally, the boyfriend is accused of stealing her cell phone.
Although the young woman requested medical assistance, she declined an intervention from an ambulance service. Subsequently, the police initiated a search for the suspect at his registered address, but he was not found. However, the 21-year-old voluntarily presented himself at a police station in Vienna.
To ensure the victim’s safety, a restraining order and a temporary prohibition on possessing weapons were issued against the alleged perpetrator. The police are still awaiting the suspect’s interrogation to gather further information.
