Thousands of people gathered in Vienna to protest against Israel’s participation in the Eurovision Song Contest. The demonstration took place in Christian-Broda-Platz near Vienna’s Westbahnhof and brought together various activist groups and individuals expressing opposition to Israel’s inclusion in the competition.
Hundreds of police officers were deployed on location to secure the perimeter. However, the protest was peaceful and no incidents were reported.
