In 2024, Austrian households recycled 537,700 tonnes of paper, 253,800 tonnes of glass and 230,300 tonnes of lightweight and metal packaging.

The survey also showed that older respondents are better at recycling, with 92% of those aged 60 to 78 disposing of waste correctly.
