Police in Villach have taken two drug dealers off the streets. At the end of June, a house search uncovered four kilograms of speed, firearms, and cash, according to a statement from the regional police department. The two suspects—a 46-year-old man from Villach and a 43-year-old from the district of Spittal an der Drau—were arrested.
The men are believed to have purchased drugs online and resold them to buyers in the Villach area. During the raid, police also found 100 grams of cocaine, 65 grams of crystal meth, and 300 grams of heroin. Among the seized weapons were a submachine gun and a long gun with ammunition. Authorities allege that the suspects made over €100,000 through the sale of illegal drugs.
At the request of the public prosecutor’s office, the two men were taken to the Klagenfurt correctional facility. They have so far not confessed to the allegations.
