A 27-year-old man was brutally attacked in his apartment in Ampass, Tyrol (Innsbruck-Land District), by three partially masked assailants during the night from Wednesday to Thursday. The unknown perpetrators broke down the door and, while pointing handguns at him, demanded that he hand over cash. A struggle ensued, during which the 27-year-old sustained severe injuries to his body from punches and blows inflicted with the grips of the weapons. The attackers then tied him up with adhesive tape.
The suspects fled the apartment without taking any valuables, heading in an unknown direction, police reported Friday. The victim managed to free himself and call emergency services. He was transported by ambulance to the Innsbruck University Hospital. According to APA, the man suffered, among other injuries, a laceration on his head and a broken finger. The exact motive for the attack, which occurred around 1:45 a.m., remains unclear and is under investigation by the Tyrolean State Criminal Police Office.
Descriptions Of The Unknown Perpetrators
Descriptions of the fleeing suspects have been released. One of them was described as between 38 and 40 years old, athletic in build, and standing between 1.80 and 1.85 meters tall. He wore a black face covering, had blue eyes and short dark hair, and was dressed in a black hooded jacket, black gloves, blue jeans, and black shoes. He was armed with a black revolver with a long barrel.
The second man was reportedly around 36 years old and 1.80 meters tall. He had short black hair, a short black stubble beard, brown eyes, and an oval-shaped face. He was wearing gloves, a blue sweatshirt, jeans, and black shoes, and was armed with a silver-colored revolver.
The third intruder was estimated to be about 28 years old, with a solid build and height between 1.75 and 1.80 meters. He also had a short black beard and short black hair. Unlike the others, he did not wear a mask. He was dressed in a black jacket, a sweatshirt underneath, gray pants, and black sneakers, and carried a black revolver.
