Vienna-Florisdorf: Two Teenagers Injured in Stabbing

Two teens critically injured in a Floridsdorf stabbing near the Water Park; police arrest seven suspects and search for more attackers.

Two teenagers were seriously injured in a stabbing in Vienna-Floridsdorf on Wednesday. A 15-year-old and an 18-year-old were found late in the afternoon with stab wounds near the Water Park, after several passersby had called the emergency number because they had seen multiple armed youths and an injured person. A total of seven people were arrested during the subsequent search, police reported.

The background of the incident is still unclear. The search for additional individuals suspected of being involved in the attack is ongoing. According to police, the two injured teenagers are in critical condition at the hospital and have not yet been able to be questioned. The 15-year-old suffered stab wounds to the back and buttocks, while the 18-year-old sustained a stab wound to the chest.

During the search operations, the police secured a kitchen knife in the immediate vicinity of the Water Park and found a blank-firing gun near Ferdinand-Kaufmann-Square, they said. There was no information available in the evening regarding the age or nationality of the arrested individuals.
