On 21–22 November 2025, Vienna will host the first edition of The International Talks, a two-day conference dedicated to celebrating the success stories of migrants across Europe. Held at Impact Hub Vienna, the event will bring together around 100 international professionals, founders, creatives, policymakers, and students for a unique program of keynotes, panels, and networking opportunities.
Unlike traditional conferences, The International Talks is modeled on the spirit of TED — short, powerful, personal talks — but with one key distinction: every speaker is a migrant who has made it. From entrepreneurs to scientists, from athletes to artists, speakers will share their own journeys of resilience, belonging, and ambition.
“Migrants often face hesitation and doubt about whether they can succeed, simply because they are not ‘from here.’ The International Talks wants to counter that narrative by showing — through lived stories — that success is not only possible, it’s happening every day,” says founder Alion Çaçi.
The event will not only spotlight individual achievements but also create a space for dialogue on broader issues like integration, innovation, and identity. Attendees will be able to learn directly from speakers, exchange perspectives with peers, and expand their professional networks in Vienna’s vibrant international community.
Why it matters
Vienna is one of Europe’s most international cities: more than 36% of its residents are foreign nationals, many of them professionals who speak English better than German. Yet this community is often overlooked in mainstream media and events. The International Talks seeks to change that, positioning Vienna as a hub for migrant-led inspiration, innovation, and exchange.
Beyond the stage
As part of The International — Austria’s English-language media platform reaching over 50,000 monthly users — the conference will also extend far beyond the event days.
