With the start of the new swimming season, Vienna’s municipal pools are introducing a monthly pass.

This will offer all guests cost advantages in the future without requiring a long-term commitment, said Vienna’s City Councilor for Climate and Public Pools, Jürgen Czernohorszky (SPÖ), in a statement on Wednesday. The monthly pass expands the range of season tickets and will be available starting May 2—both at indoor pools and outdoor swimming facilities. Adults will pay €48.60, teenagers €36.60, and children €16.80.

“Vienna’s Pools Contribute to the Quality of Life”

For swimmers who prefer to complete their laps early in the morning, tickets can already be booked online in advance to save time. Starting in May, the time savings will increase further: up to 20 admissions can then be loaded at once onto a prepaid card in advance sales.

“Vienna’s pools contribute to the quality of life of all Viennese residents. It is therefore all the more important to preserve them and guarantee an attractive offering,” Czernohorszky said.
