A Carinthian man is suspected of carrying out a large-scale fraud involving tickets for Coldplay’s concerts in Austria. According to police spokeswoman Waltraud Dullnigg, the man allegedly offered concert tickets for sale online but failed to deliver them. This was confirmed on Thursday following a report by Kronen Zeitung.

So far, 40 cases from across Austria have been reported to the police. “The perpetrator seemingly waited until just before the concerts to commit the fraud. New cases are coming in daily, and there are still three more Coldplay concerts scheduled,” Dullnigg explained. The suspect, who comes from the Völkermarkt district, is already known to the police. The total financial damage is already in the thousands of euros.
