Amazon customers in Vienna and nearby towns – including Guntramsdorf, Wiener Neudorf, Perchtoldsdorf, Maria Enzersdorf, Mödling and Brunn am Gebirge – can now receive same-day deliveries.
The service allows shoppers to order from hundreds of thousands of products by 11:00 on weekdays, with delivery by 22:00 the same day. Delivery is free for Amazon Prime members on orders over €20, while smaller orders have a €4.99 fee.
Customers who are not Prime members can sign up for a free 30-day trial.
Eligible products include everyday essentials, electronics, books, toys and craft supplies. Items available for same-day delivery are marked on the product page and at checkout, though availability depends on stock levels.
Faster deliveries across Austria
Amazon says the move is part of a broader effort to speed up delivery times across Austria.
“We know that our customers not only appreciate our wide selection and competitive prices but also expect fast and reliable delivery,” Miriam Enzi, Senior Regional Manager at Amazon Logistics in Austria, said in a press release.
The company has invested more than €715m in Austria since 2016, focusing on expanding its logistics network. Its fifth distribution centre opened last autumn in Premstätten, near Graz.
