As the new year begins, several smaller industries in Austria have finalised their collective agreements for 2025, with wage increases across various sectors.
In the soup industry, workers will receive a 3.65% pay rise, bringing the new minimum wage to €2,183 gross. Meanwhile, employees at Postbus have secured a 4.1% increase, capped at €330. Wages in vinegar and sparkling wine production are set to rise by 3.25%, with a minimum wage of €2,004 gross.
The horticulture and tree nursery sectors will see a 3.3% wage increase, with a minimum wage of €1,860 from January. In the confectionery industry, wages are rising by 3.4%, with a minimum of €2,253 gross. The agricultural cooperatives in Upper Austria have agreed on a 3% wage increase, setting the new minimum wage at €2,063. Similarly, the fruit, vegetable processing and frozen food industries will see wages increase by 3.25%, with a minimum wage of €1,987.
In the religious sector, the Diocese of Linz will raise wages by 4.55%, while agricultural estates in Styria have agreed to a 3.3% increase, setting the minimum wage at €1,865. The soft drinks industry has also secured a 3.3% increase, bringing the minimum wage to €2,297, while winegrowers in Vienna and pasta producers will see wages rise by 3.3%.
