Austrian expertise ensures premier-quality grass at this year’s final match of the European Championship in Germany.
RICHTER RASEN, a specialist from Lower Austria, has been a major player in the sports world for many years. Today, on the day of the grand finale at Berlin’s Olympic Stadium, they provide the natural sports turf. Their turf is designed to grow well in the unique conditions of stadiums, using a special kind of sand to help it grow strong. The blend is made of 80% Poa Pratensis and 20% Lolium Perenne, which makes it very tough and quick to recover from damage.
This is not the first time that Austrian infrastructure has been set up during EURO24 games. The floodlights at Signal Iduna Park in Dortmund, Germany’s largest football stadium, are also from Austria. They are provided by Zumtobel Group AG, a company based in Vorarlberg. The stadium in Dortmund has 252 flexibly controlled LED floodlights to ensure flicker-free operation and provide razor-sharp images in HD and super-slow motion, along with dynamic lighting effects.
