The FM4 Frequency Festival in St. Pölten is set to conclude on Saturday, maintaining a calm atmosphere despite heightened security concerns following the cancellation of US superstar Taylor Swift’s concerts in Vienna due to a terror threat.

The final night of the multi-day event in the Lower Austrian capital will feature performances from Peter Fox, Yung Hurn, Sido and Camo & Krooked.

According to a statement from the Red Cross late on Friday, around 1,400 individuals have required assistance, a slight increase compared to last year’s figures. The incidents primarily involved injuries such as scrapes and cuts, along with blisters on the feet and insect bites.

Forty-six patients needed to be taken to the University Hospital St. Pölten.

Overall, security has been described as having a “positive balance,” said City Police Commander Franz Bäuchler.

On Friday night, several tents were slashed and valuables stolen, an incident Bäuchler has described as “isolated.” There have also been thefts of phones and wallets, which was anticipated given the size of the event.

The weather forecast suggests that festival-goers should prepare for high temperatures on Saturday night, along with occasional showers and thunderstorms.
