During a group therapy session in a psychotherapist’s office in central Vienna, a 42-year-old woman reportedly attacked a 62-year-old man with two knives, injuring him in the upper body. The therapist, with the assistance of other participants, managed to subdue the woman and confiscate the knives. According to police, the German national woman was arrested, though her motive remains unclear.
Police officers administered first aid to the 62-year-old victim until emergency medical services arrived. The man was then treated and transported to the trauma unit of a local hospital. The woman had apparently concealed the knives under her clothing before bringing them into the therapy session.
