
Vienna Airport recorded its best-ever performance since it opened 70 years ago, handling 31.72 million passengers in 2024.
Julian Jäger, CEO of Vienna Airport, described the year as an “absolute record” in a statement on Friday. The figure surpassed the airport’s pre-pandemic peak in 2019 by roughly 50,000 passengers.
Cargo operations also saw significant growth, with a record 297,945 tonnes of freight handled during the year.
The wider Vienna Airport Group, which includes Malta Airport and Kosice Airport in Slovakia, reported a 9.1% increase in passenger numbers compared to 2023, serving a total of around 42 million travellers.
Looking ahead, Vienna Airport forecasts revenues of approximately €1.08 billion for 2025 and a net profit of €230 million.
