Vienna’s first dedicated roller sports facility has opened in Vohburggasse, Floridsdorf, in the city’s 21st district.

With space for up to 170 visitors, admission costs €2.50 for children (aged six and above) and €3.50 for adults, with season and annual passes also on offer.

The facility is open all year round, with extended hours into the evening. Separate and mixed sessions are scheduled for various groups, and the Cienna Skateboard Club will provide skateboard and scooter courses.

For those without their own kit, boards, scooters, protective gear, and helmets are available for hire.

“With the new skate hall in Floridsdorf, we are once again making Vienna a pioneer in terms of child and youth friendliness,” said Christoph Wiederkehr, the City Councillor for Youth.

City Councillor for Sport, Peter Hacker, added: “For many Viennese, sport is the first point of contact with cohesion and team spirit. Skating belongs to Vienna, and we are emphasising this now more than ever.”
